Back in October, Ponyboy came over to the lounge to record a cover they did of a Peaches song, and the Midnight Finger Artist Guild came together to help them record it. Cocoon | MidnightFinger
Cocoon is a weird song. We heavily modded the drums with some reverb and a limiter/compressor. The Guitar was recorded by mic’ing the amp in the door way. There where walls on 3 sides of it. I think that the mic picked up some good ambience. We used a Shure BG 3.1 and pointed it pretty much at the ceiling. Then we cranked this tiny Ibanez amp and let her loose. This is one of the newest Noise Limiter recordings in 2 years!
